Chevy Navigation Screen

In recent years, more and more new Chevrolet cars have added Wi-Fi hotspots as either a standard or an optional feature. This is part of a larger trend to include all the latest in-cabin technology and connectivity features. There are more than a few Chevy cars with Wi-Fi, and here at Vaughn Chevrolet Buick GMC of Ottumwa, our dealers are happy to show them off.

How In-Car Wi-Fi Works

Before talking about new Chevy cars that have Wi-Fi, it is important to understand how in-car Wi-Fi works, because it is such a new function. Chevrolet OnStar® with 4G LTE and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot provides an internet connection that is fast, reliable, and more powerful than a smartphone or mobile hotspot. With it, you can connect up to seven mobile devices at the same time so that your passengers can browse, post, game, and stream at 4G LTE speeds.

Wi-Fi uses the vehicle’s built-in antenna to provide a reliable signal up to 50 feet away from the vehicle. Because it is powered by your battery, the signal is always on when your car is on accessory modes.

Chevy Cars with Wi-Fi

There are a large amount of Chevy cars, trucks, and SUVs that have Wi-Fi. Here are some of our favorites:

  • 2020 Chevy Tahoe: This large family-friendly SUV also has an available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
  • 2020 Chevy Corvette: In addition to being sporty and thrilling to drive, the convertible also has available Wi-Fi.
